In 1920 the firm Rudolph Kuhlmann was founded by the grandfather of the present chairman and dealt even then in foil packing material which was at first made of aluminum. Since 1961 the Kuhlmann-group manufactures modern foil and packing material in different plants in Germany and in foreign countries. Even then they were already paying much attention on environmental problems. All foil and packing materials were manufactured to be ecologically beneficial. They burn without harmful gas and can be recycled because polyethylene consists of the natural products: hydrogen und carbon. Today a number of products carry an environmental label because they consist of 100 % recycling material.
